**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, a national leader in tree care and arboriculture services throughout the US & Canada, and is seeking a Mechanic for our equipment fleet and equipment.
This is a Part-time position with the option to work extra hours in the field on a tree crew as a groundsperon. Part-time equals: a must do 8 hour shift each Saturday, and 4 hours shifts, 2-3 week nights per week. The schedule is flexible and candidates' preferences will be discussed during interviews.
There is potential that this position could be Full-time (35-40 hours per week), dependent one candidates' interest in also working on a tree crew in the groundperson role
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
*Keep us rolling to our jobs! *Inspect and repair vehicles and equipment including but not limited to:
*CDL Vehicles: Bucket Trucks, Large Trucks, Chip Trucks, etc. *Pick-Up Trucks *Aerial Lifts *Brush Chippers *Small Engine equipment
DUTIES: Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more. Maintenance, repair and other mechanical work on company's equipment fleet. Fleet equipment includes gas and diesel, medium and heavy duty trucks, sprayers, aerials and chippers used in Residential/Commercial tree care operations. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and minor repairs on trucks and equipment. REQUIREMENTS:
*Valid driver's license *Commerial Driver's License- lass B or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire *Experience in truck mechanical repairs, diesel engines and hydraulics *Use of your own tools required *Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire *Must be able to lift 50 pounds *ASE Certification is highly valuable
